Microsoft Teams retrospectivewith HeyRetro
Open HeyRetro from a Teams channel, chat, or meeting, bring the available roster into setup, and run the retrospective on a structured board.
HeyRetro lets Enterprise organizations start a structured retrospective from Microsoft Teams, using the channel, chat, or meeting where the group already gathers. Add the app as a tab in a channel, chat, or meeting. Use the available Teams context and roster during setup, then run the board in HeyRetro.
How the Microsoft Teams flow works
- Add the HeyRetro app: upload or install the organization-provided app package and add it as a tab.
- Start from Teams: open the tab in the channel, chat, or meeting your group uses.
- Bring in the roster: load the available participants and choose who belongs in the retrospective setup.
- Finish the board: choose a team, name, access settings, columns, and surveys in HeyRetro.
- Share and run: send the session to participants and run input, grouping, voting, discussion, and actions.
Why use a dedicated retrospective board
Teams supplies the collaboration context, while HeyRetro supplies the retrospective workflow: focused templates, cards, grouping, voting, timers, surveys, and action tracking. The facilitator gets a ready structure and can skip building a whiteboard from scratch.
Good fit for distributed organizations
The integration suits groups that already organize meetings and channels in Teams. Pair it with the remote retrospective workflow for quiet writing, visible timing, and several ways to contribute with the camera off.
Availability and administration
The Microsoft Teams integration requires an active HeyRetro Enterprise plan. Installation and Microsoft identity or roster access also depend on the organization's Microsoft Teams and tenant configuration.
