HeyRetro lets Enterprise organizations start a structured retrospective from Microsoft Teams. Add the app as a tab in a channel, chat, or meeting, use the available Teams context and roster during setup, then run the board in HeyRetro.
How the Microsoft Teams flow works
- Add the HeyRetro app: upload or install the organization-provided app package and add it as a tab.
- Start from Teams: open the tab in the channel, chat, or meeting connected to the group.
- Import roster context: load the available participants and select who belongs in the retrospective setup.
- Finish board setup: choose a team, name, access settings, columns, and surveys in HeyRetro.
- Share and facilitate: send the session to participants and run input, grouping, voting, discussion, and actions.
Why use a dedicated retrospective board
Teams supplies the collaboration context, while HeyRetro supplies the retrospective workflow: focused templates, cards, grouping, voting, timers, surveys, and action tracking. This keeps the discussion structured without asking a facilitator to build a whiteboard from scratch.

Availability and administration
The Microsoft Teams integration requires an active HeyRetro Enterprise plan. Installation and Microsoft identity or roster access also depend on the organization's Microsoft Teams and tenant configuration.
